WOW! This coop is amazing. I want to point out a few things about Rain City Roost Co... 1. the assembly was SO easy to follow, everything was clearly marked and labeled. It came together in about 1.5 hours. 2. the delivery was quick and fast 3. Our Chickens LOVE this coop! We fell for a small cheaper coop from Wayfair, and that lasted about 1 month until our girls outgrew it. This coop will last their entire life, and it is so thoughtful how it is designed with air flow in mind, easy clean up, and long roosting bars. Plenty of room for our girls to live comfortably. We added the 6' resort run, and they are in their happy place!!!!

Purchased a Farmhouse coop end of last winter, and made it into a chicken tractor with a wheel kit. Very pleased with the functionality and usability of the coop.

Couldn't be more pleased with my purchase. I feel like I did a lot of research, I wanted something affordable, easy to put together and that would arrive rather quickly. I ordered Feb 2025 received it within 5 days of placing my order. Reached out to chat multiple times and always received a quick reply. It went together easily and the directions were straight forward. My hens have been happily utilizing it and are now egg layers.

We are so in love with our farmhouse coop. We modified slightly and added the resort run, and our 4 ladies are beyond comparable. Urban Northern’s customer service is also excellent. We’re on year 3 with this coop and only minor repairs as a result of normal weathering will be required.

We lost our home in Altadena due to the Eaton Fire. We left with our 2 cars, our lives, and our 6 chickens. We came up to Vashon Island where we have a summer cabin. Chickens were in crates in the back of our Prius. Urban Northern Coops got us a coop immediately - 24 hours and the chickens could get some space to lay. The coop is wonderful. It was very easy to set up. Recommend highly. My 6 hens love you. Of note they are laying all at once -- they are spatting about who gets the laying spots in the coop. Fern unfortunately had to have her egg in the coop - see photo because Ruth and Alice had the boxes occupied. :) Thank you Urban Northern Coops.

This is my first coop and chickens ever. The build was fairly simple to do. Took me and 1 other person a few hours to build.
The coop seems to be pretty sturdy and should up up against the weather. I live in an area with many predators, so I did attach a larger lock on the front door that can be secured closed with a carabiner along with the 2 small latches included. I did spend an equal amount of time cutting and attaching hardware wire to the bottom of each wall to extend out a few feet to protect from digging predators.

One last thing I will add is I did have to change the bolt on the metal arm that opens and closes the hen house door. It only lasted me 6 or 7 days before it separated and disconnected. It is now a nut and bolt. Overall I am very pleased with my purchase and my 3 ladies are really happy. Would definitely recommend.

FINALLY! A coop that is actually great quality! Arrived perfectly packaged with easy to understand instructions! I’m very impressed with this coop and highly recommend this company.

The kit was delivered when I was told, it was exactly what I was expecting, and it was relatively easy to assemble...with help from a friend. Some steps it was very helpful to have 4 hands so someone helping made a huge difference.

Great first time coop. Easy to assemble and for our three hens, it has ample space to move around when not in the open yard. Only external modification was made to the ramp as the cedar planking is very smooth, we added grip tape for our girls to better climb up the ramp.

This was a fun project. Took us about 90 minutes total. Instructions were clear but be really careful to check the orientation of some pieces.

I purchased the Barn Red color in the Farmhouse coop, I love it, absolutely adorable. In my opinion this is a very accessible coop being that it has the hatch on the back, it's part of why I chose this model. I feel like it's going to be easy to keep clean. Shipping was quick, assembly was relatively easy. My backyard flock is up and running! Can't wait until I start getting eggs.

Appreciate the hatch back on this model, it was one of the features that drew me to this coop. My neighbor already was eyeing my coop asking where I got it, I see more chickens moving into my hood. I have 3 for now, may add a couple more down the road, but I like that there is space to fully contain them when needed.

Purchased the Farmhouse Coop as a quail house. As they are smaller I have more than the recommend hen capacity happily living in it. I felt like I did a lot of research prior to purchasing. I looked at many option, and for the price and style I felt Urban Northern Coops had the best offering. My Farmhouse shipped quickly and I felt the manual was easy to decipher and it went together rather quickly. If I decide to keep hens I will definitely be back for the Resort or the Homestead, and make myself a little poultry compound.

I came back to the website to order an automatic door and noticed all the reviews were gone, in speaking with the company shopify did away with their review system. So I wanted to resubmit because I know reviews are important for small business such as this.
I love my Farmhouse coop, it was simple to set up, and has housed my 6 hens well, I have an additional Resort run that I added on, that matches up very well to the Farmhouse. I will be resealing it this summer. Very happy with my purchase.

I ordered this on a Monday and it was delivered by Friday how is that for quick shipping. Boxes arrived in good condition (one corner had a tear but product was safe inside). I went with the farmhouse model because it's a bit taller, easier for me to place food and water, I like that it not only has a pull out tray but a full hatch on the back to make it easier to clean. Anyhow my husband helped me put it together, once we got everything laid out and got going it went together pretty smoothly. It's sturdy but light enough that 2 of us can move it around the yard if necessary. You could probably even add wheels if you wanted to make it into a tractor coop.
